I'm starting to feel better (the 16 hours of sleep I had yesterday-according to my fitbit may have been a contributing factor!) and 4/5 of the family had the chance to watch Survivor. Kiandra was working.

It was a tough day today with my least amount of steps since receiving my fitbit. I think I may have had my first experience with food poisoning .... most of these steps were taken from my bed to the bathroom....

It's been a year of travelling for our family and today Kezia set off to Ottawa with the "Encounters with Canada" Program. She will spend the next week learning about Canada's capital city and visiting sites and her week also focuses on First Responders and the details about their job. It is such a cool opportunity for her.

Kaden had his outfit all picked out today for ushering at his youth leader's wedding. Kaden didn't even care what the other guys were wearing, he was just happy for the chance to "suit up"! It felt a little strange just dropping him off and driving away...

Our back to school tradition is fondue and it was nice to hear what the kids had been up to at the youth retreat and how the first few days of school had been. It's hard to believe Kiandra is now in her second year after high school. It looks like the only classes she will be taking this year will be her Water Safety Instructor course as she moves towards more lifeguarding and teaching swimming lesson opportunities.

*sigh* My eight first day of Grade 1 is done! It was an exhausting first day and it was good to put my feet up when the day was done. It was nice to send the kids off to the youth retreat this evening and not have to be embarrassed to be in my bed by 8:45pm!
